What we fix most in Los Angeles homes

Dishwashers. Dishwashers are one of our most common Los Angeles calls, in home kitchens and in office kitchens. These are the problems we see:

• Standing water, or a dishwasher that won't drain (a clogged filter, a blocked drain line or a failing drain pump).
• Grinding or humming during the cycle.
• A dishwasher that won't start because of a door latch or a dead display.
• A soap dispenser that doesn't open.

A built-in unit, such as a built-in refrigerator, has a $129 diagnostic. A premium brand on its own doesn't make an appliance built-in, so a freestanding premium appliance is the standard $89 visit. Apartments, condos, rentals and offices

Much of Los Angeles rents, and some of our LA work is in tenant-occupied units. A landlord or property manager can book the visit and approve the price while we coordinate access with the tenant; put the tenant's name and best contact in the booking notes. How a visit works, and what it costs

1. Book online or call with the appliance, brand and symptoms.
2. Diagnostic visit: $89 for a standard residential appliance; $129 for a built-in unit or commercial equipment.
3. Repair price before any work. Nothing is repaired until you approve it. If a repair doesn't make sense for an older appliance, we'll say so.
4. Repair. Some repairs are finished on the first visit; when a part has to be ordered, we come back once it arrives. Repairs come with our parts-and-labor warranty.
